What Car Award
The new Octavia iV Estate was awarded the coveted “Plug In Hybrid of The Year” award at the recent What Car 2021 awards
The Octavia is no stranger to awards, but its already solid reputation was enhanced even further at this prestigious event.
Whilst it received all the usual plaudits; comfort, style, and a high-tech spec for gadgets the official MPG was the statistic that raised most eyebrows quoting over 200mpg after a full charge, with the comfort of having the “fuel” option that most of us seem to still need as a security blanket for long distances.
Add to this a combination of an official electric range of 41 miles and CO2 emissions of 31g/km the new Octavia drops into the exceptionally low 6% benefit-in-kind bracket which is a huge bonus for company car drivers.
The new model included a good range of standard equipment, and the SE Technology trim gives you a digital instrument panel, parking sensors all round and a 10.0in touchscreen infotainment system with sat-nav.
Both models are spacious and comfortable and the estate version has a very impressive boot space.
