The new VRS is here!

Skoda has finally announced the news that everyone has been waiting for - the new VRS range. Boasting the most comprehensive Octavia VRS line-up ever, the range will include a plug-in hybrid version for the first time and sources within the company have hinted that the new models will be the fastest and most refined yet. 

Set to be popular across the range, the plug-in hybrid will undoubtedly be the model everyone will talk about.  It is anticipated to be at least as powerful as the petrol version with a turbocharged 1.4-litre and electric motor delivering nearly 250bhp when both are working flat out and rumour has it that the new model will achieve 0-62mph in  around seven seconds, even with the standard DSG transmission (though a manual gearbox is unlikely).

 As well as the three different power options, there's a choice of hatchback and estates with two and four-wheel drive transmissions and both DSG and manual gearboxes.  At present "on sale" dates and prices are unknown, but we expect to see our first happy customers taking delivery by the end of 2020.
