Lightcliffe Vests and Pickers Hit The Streets
The recent summer weather has been a blessing in the main, but this opportunity for us all to head outdoors has unfortunately had a downside – and that’s litter.
Whether unintentional or accidental, litter seems to be part of everyday life in this country and just one discarded wrapper is enough to spoil even the best kept public area.
Readers of this column will know that as part of its work in the community Lightcliffe has purchased both vests and the litter pickers themselves for a local litter group, the Warrington Sunday Litter Team who took delivery of the goods last week.
This admirable and stalwart bunch of publicly spirited individuals were in action once again last weekend sporting their new apparel and even with a huge weekend workload which saw them collect over 30 bags, they managed to find a few minutes to pose for pics with a few of the sales execs, pictured above.
Lightcliffe is proud to support this wonderful local organisation and if anyone is interested in doing their bit, founder and organiser Bob Towers can be contacted through the dealership.
Well done again to WSLT who continue to work tirelessly to keep our streets clean.
