Enyaq Scoops Top Parkers Award
The last two years have seen a sea change in the acceptance of electric cars in the UK.
With a flood of new models hitting the market, and sales rising faster than predicted it’s no surprise to most people here that the Enyaq keeps turning heads, but the Lightcliffe team are still delighted about the news that their ground breaking EV has just won the car of the year at the recent Parkers award ceremony beating some very impressive challengers in the process.
Sharing much of its technology with Volkswagen Group sister cars, the powers that be at Parkers still think that it outshines all of them. Value has always been the watchword of the Skoda brand, but it is in the design and feature combination that the real appeal is to be found. The perfect all-rounder, it boasts huge range of benefits including a long battery range and an interior that is hard-wearing and plush in equal measure.
An impressive array of trim and colour choices, seating bordering on luxurious and a sensational drive experience adds up to a car that appeals to the aesthete and pragmatist alike. The major controls are simple, so getting used to the car takes seconds – which for drivers making the move to electric power is a very welcome characteristic.
All in all, the Enyaq makes the transition from fossil fuel to battery both seamless and stress free.
When this new supercar first arrived the execs became very territorial about their new baby. Thankfully the opportunity to drive the Enyaq was extended to other staff members with even the lowly Lightcliffe marketing manager having his day in the EV sun……. so he can actually profess with some authority that every word in all the reviews is true.
