Dan Makes The Grade
If you were a Martian taking a snapshot of a modern car you could be forgiven for being extremely impressed about how they, and the associated technology has developed over the last hundred years.
Apart from the speed that most cars can travel now they have also developed robust safety features to try and keep us all safe when we’re travelling at “70 plus” miles per hour, often in opposite directions.
A few decades ago, cars were still fairly simple machines and most junior mechanics could get away with changing oil, spark plugs and a few filters to make the grade. It couldn’t be more different now and goes without saying that the people who look after these sophisticated vehicles behind the scenes need to trained to the highest level to ensure they can keep our vehicles in good shape for all challenges that modern roads present.
It’s also universally acknowledged that the Skoda brand and its Volkswagen group siblings are among the best engineered cars in the world with even the most ordinary service tasks requiring a high degree of knowledge and scientific tolerance.
So when one of our technicians makes ta grade as Daniel Bate has just done, it is a serious achievement and something to be celebrated.
Dan who has now been with us for two years and is pictured here with general manager John, was roundly congratulated by the whole team here at Lightcliffe for his achievement.
Its also great news for our customers to know that the well-being and condition of their cherished vehicle is in the best possible hands.
Well done Dan!
